Seu Zé de Madureira is an AI character, not a dancer who was at the party: his clip matches the 9 August footage move for move, with the lead dancer redrawn as an old man. The account says he is "from the Madureira viaduct", the home of Rio's oldest baile charme.

Charme dance AI original song: "Say It Right" at Pedra do Sal
The music in the clip the trend copies is "Say It Right" by Nelly Furtado, from her 2006 album Loose, produced by Timbaland and Danja. It is the party audio of Zenegão's post, listed on TikTok as his "original sound", not a track added in an editor. That is why the same trend also travels as the "Say It Right dance".
Slow R&B like this is what charme is danced to. Other charme clips use other songs: Zenegão's 7 August post has LUDMILLA's "Sintomas de Prazer", and many remakes replace the sound. Because TikTok lists these sounds as each poster's "original sound" rather than the song title, tap the sound under the exact video you want to copy.

Charme is a Rio de Janeiro street dance to American R&B and soul: small gliding side steps, rolling shoulders and hands kept low, danced by a whole crowd at the same time. It grew out of the Black Rio soul parties of the 1970s; DJ Corello is credited with calling the slower set "charme" in the early 1980s.
Since the early 1990s the best-known baile charme has met on Saturday nights under the Viaduto de Madureira, in Rio's North Zone, and in 2019 the state of Rio de Janeiro recognised charme as intangible cultural heritage. The parties at Pedra do Sal, a historic square in the old port where the trend was filmed, carry the same dance into the city centre.

Grandpa, friends and pets in the charme dance
