AI Backflip Video From One Photo
An AI backflip video is a short clip in which the person or pet in one ordinary photo crouches, does one backward somersault and lands it, even if they have never done a cartwheel. Upload a selfie or a full-body photo, pick a flip style and a model, and the video comes back in a few minutes with its own whoosh and landing sound.

Make your backflip
1. Your photo
One person, facing the camera, face uncovered. A full-body photo keeps your body and outfit; from a selfie the AI fills in the rest of the outfit.
2. Flip style
3. Model, length and frame
The flip is written for you, second by second, and follows your settings. Change the place, outfit or moves here; @Image1 is your photo.
The video comes with the sound of the place, a whoosh in the air and the landing thud, no music. Add a trending sound in TikTok, Reels or Shorts when you post.

What is an AI backflip video?
An AI backflip video is a 5 to 10 second clip made from one still photo: the person or pet in it bends down, leaves the ground, turns one full backward somersault and lands on their feet (or four paws). Nobody films a stunt; an image-to-video model animates the photo. It is not a single viral clip or song: since spring 2026 people have used backflip effects and CapCut templates for funny "I can do a backflip now" posts, and in October 2026 a highway version, the car roof backflip, joined them. Here you choose between four flip styles and six video models and see the price before you start.
With Seedance 2.0 Mini by default, a 5 s video at 480p costs 9 credits (about $0.25); prices on this page run from 9 to 483 credits. The $5 Trial pack covers 2 of those default videos.

One-photo backflips made with backflip effects on other sites: a stand, a crouch, one backward flip, a clean landing. Our Standing backflip style makes the same move. None of these was made with TryH3.
How to make an AI video of me doing a backflip
It works online in any phone or desktop browser, with nothing to install and no prompt to write.
- 01
Upload one photo
Pick a clear photo of yourself facing the camera. Full body from head to shoes gives the most faithful result; a selfie works, and the AI continues your outfit below the frame. For a pet, use a photo where its whole body is visible.
- 02
Choose the flip style and model
Standing backflip is the classic; slow motion stretches the flip, pet is for dogs and cats, car roof is the highway stunt. Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p is the cheapest; Seedance 2.5 and Seedance 2.0 Pro keep faces steadier through the rotation.
- 03
Generate, download, post
The button shows the price. The video is ready in a few minutes and stays in Creations. Download the MP4, then add a sound and the AI-generated label in TikTok, Reels or Shorts.
Which photo works best for AI backflips?
The photo decides how much the model has to guess, and every guess is a chance for the face or the clothes to change mid-flip. You can also make an AI video of someone doing a backflip, a friend or a family member, if they say yes first.
| Photo | What you get | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Full body, facing the camera | Best: your real outfit, shoes and build stay through the flip | Stand in an open spot with a little space above your head |
| Half body (waist up) | Good: the model continues your trousers and shoes | Write your trousers and shoes into the prompt if you care how they look |
| Selfie or close-up | Works, but the body, outfit and place are invented around your face | Use a sharp, front-facing selfie without sunglasses or a hand over the face |
| Group photo | Not supported: the model may pick the wrong person or merge two faces | Crop to one person before uploading |
| Dog or cat | Use Pet backflip: four paws, its own fur and markings | A side or front view with the whole body works better than a face close-up |
| Dark, blurry or turned away | Often a different face after the flip | Retake it in daylight; the face is what the model holds on to upside down |
Four backflip styles
Each style only changes the prompt the model receives; you can read and edit it before you generate.
- Standing backflip. The everyday version: the place your photo was taken, a fixed phone camera at chest height, a crouch and arm swing, one tucked backflip, a landing on the same spot and arms up in a V. This is what most backflip effects make.
- Slow-motion backflip. A low cinematic angle; time slows almost to a stop at the top of the flip, with hair and clothes floating, then snaps back for the landing. Pick 10 s so the slow part has room.
- Pet backflip. Your dog or cat crouches, springs up, flips once with its legs tucked and lands on all four paws, then shakes it off. The prompt keeps real paws and its own muzzle, so it does not turn into a cartoon or stand like a person.
- Car roof backflip. The October 2026 highway clip: a rear tracking shot of a black SUV and a red hatchback side by side; you stand on the SUV roof, flip over the gap and land on the red car. The scene is invented, so the photo only supplies you. It is an AI video: never try anything like it on a real car.
AI backflip video price per model, length and resolution
Every video is charged in credits when it starts; the price depends only on the model, the length and the resolution, not on the flip style or frame. These are the live prices.

Dollar amounts use the Studio monthly plan’s credit price; packs and other plans differ a little. MiniMax H3 comes in 768P and 2K, shown as its own rows.
Is there an AI backflip video free option?
| Free video | No. Sign-up credits do not cover a backflip video; every video costs credits, shown on the button first. |
|---|---|
| Cheapest way in | The $5 Trial pack (24 credits) makes 2 default videos (Seedance 2.0 Mini, 5 s, 480p, 9 credits each). |
| Watermark | Accounts without a purchase get a moving tryh3.com mark; after any purchase you download the clean file, older videos included. |
| If it fails | The credits go back automatically. A photo that Seedance 2.5 rejects is never charged. |
| Subscription needed? | No. Credit packs are one-time purchases, so you can buy once and stop after one video. |
AI backflip video generator vs CapCut template vs motion control
Four common ways to get a backflip you never did, and what each one asks of you (checked 22 October 2026).
| Way | What you give it | Control | Cost and mark | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| This page | One photo of a person or pet | Four flip styles, six models, 5 or 10 s, three frames, editable prompt | Credits per video, price shown first; watermark until any purchase | Choosing the model and price yourself, pets and the car roof version |
| One-click backflip effects (GoEnhance, Pollo AI, media.io, WaveSpeedAI) | One photo | One fixed effect, about 5 s; the model is chosen for you | Free previews or trial credits, then credits; terms differ per site | A quick try of the basic effect |
| CapCut backflip templates (AI BACKFLIP, TREND BACKFLIP) | Photos or clips into a fixed template in the CapCut app | The template’s cuts, music and timing; little room to change the flip | Free in the app, Pro templates and exports may need CapCut Pro | Beginners who already edit in CapCut |
| Motion transfer (Kling Motion Control, Viggle, Runway) | A photo plus a video of a real backflip | Copies the exact flip, timing and camera of your clip | Credits or a subscription; needs a good reference clip | Recreating one specific stunt |
| Prompt-only video (Google Flow, Gemini, Sora) | A written prompt and often a reference image | Any scene, but you write and rewrite the prompt yourself | A Gemini or other paid plan; several tries are common | People who like writing prompts |
Free tiers, templates and prices on other sites change often; check them before you upload a photo.
Can AI make a video of me doing a backflip from my own clip?
Yes, with a different method. This page animates a still photo, so the model decides the exact jump. If you want a particular backflip, say a gymnast’s run-up or the timing of a clip you filmed at the gym, you need motion transfer: you give the model a video of the real flip plus your photo, and it keeps the moves and camera while replacing the performer.
On TryH3 that is Genjutsu AI: upload the backflip clip, add your photo, and the character in the video becomes you. It is a separate tool for accounts with a purchase, priced per model on its page.
Open Genjutsu AI for your own clip ↗Fix face changes, extra limbs and front flips
A backflip is one of the hardest moves for a video model: the face disappears upside down and the body has to come back the right way round. These changes help most.
| Problem | What to change |
|---|---|
| A different face after the flip | Use a sharper, front-facing photo in daylight; switch to Seedance 2.5 or Seedance 2.0 Pro, which hold identity better than Mini. |
| Extra arms or legs, twisted feet | Use 720p or higher and a full-body photo; keep the prompt’s anatomy sentence. Busy backgrounds behind the body make it worse. |
| A front flip or a sideways spin | Keep the built-in wording (chest up to the sky, head under the hips, never a front flip). Shorter edited prompts lose it. |
| The jump leaves the frame | Choose 9:16 and a photo with space above the head; the prompt asks for room above the jump. |
| The outfit changes mid-air | Upload a full-body photo, or add your trousers and shoes to the prompt when you start from a selfie. |
| Blurry after posting | Download the MP4 instead of screen-recording, pick 720p or higher, and upload the file directly in the app rather than through a chat. |
A backflip prompt for other tools
For a tool without a backflip effect, start from this image-to-video prompt and attach your photo as the first image.
The person in the reference image stands in the same place, whole body in frame, phone on a tripod at chest height. They bend their knees, swing both arms up, jump straight up and do exactly one full backward somersault, chest facing the sky and head passing under the hips, knees tucked. They land on both feet on the same spot, knees bending, then raise both arms in a V and smile. Same face, hair and clothes in every frame, two arms and two legs, feet pointing forward on landing. One continuous shot, 5 seconds, vertical 9:16, no text or logos.
The car roof backflip and other AI backflip trends
There is no single original backflip clip or song behind "AI backflip video". It is a family of edits that share one move.
- March 2026: CapCut templates. Templates named TREND BACKFLIP and AI BACKFLIP appeared in CapCut, turning photos into quick flip edits for TikTok.
- 2026: one-photo backflip effects. AI video sites added backflip effects: upload a photo, get about five seconds of you flipping. GoEnhance, Pollo AI, media.io and WaveSpeedAI run such pages.
- 4 October 2026: the car roof backflip. Prompt blogs and YouTube how-tos, many in Hindi, posted Google Flow and Gemini prompts for a man rising out of a black SUV on a highway and flipping onto a red hatchback beside it.
- 6 October 2026: the clip spreads as a reference. A Telegram channel for AI editing shared the 10-second highway clip itself as the reference video; its first poster has not been identified, and the clip is AI-made, not a real stunt.
Real-or-AI comparison shorts ("Real Life vs AI" flips) also rank for the term; they are side-by-side edits of real gymnasts and AI clips, not a tool.
Consent, AI labels and safety
- Ask first. Only use a photo of yourself, your pet or someone who said yes. Do not use photos of children or public figures, and do not post a clip that could embarrass someone who did not agree.
- Label it as AI. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube ask you to mark realistic AI-generated video; switch the AI-generated label on when you post.
- Never copy the stunt. The car roof backflip and every flip here are generated. Real backflips need training and a spotter, and stunts on moving cars kill people.
- Your photo stays yours. Your photo and video are stored in your account; we never publish them or use them as examples.

AI backflip video FAQ
Can AI make a video of me doing a backflip online?
Yes. Upload one photo on this page in any browser, choose a flip style and a model, and the AI backflip video is ready in a few minutes. You do not need an app, a reference clip or a prompt.
Is there an AI backflip video free option without a watermark?
Not here: every video costs credits, from 9 credits; the default Seedance 2.0 Mini 5 s video at 480p is 9 credits (about $0.25), and the $5 Trial pack covers 2 of them. Accounts without a purchase get a moving watermark, which any purchase removes, also from videos you already made.
Does a selfie work, or do I need a full-body photo?
A selfie works: the model continues your outfit and invents the place. A full-body photo facing the camera keeps your real clothes, shoes and build and gives the most faithful flip.
Why does my face change halfway through the flip?
Upside down, the face is hidden for a moment and weaker models redraw it. Use a sharp front-facing photo, 720p or more, and Seedance 2.5 or Seedance 2.0 Pro; keep the built-in prompt’s identity sentence.
Can my dog or cat do an AI backflip?
Yes. Choose Pet backflip and upload a photo with the whole animal in view. It flips once and lands on all four paws with its own fur and markings; results vary more than with people, so a second try can help.
Is the car roof backflip video real?
No. The highway clip of a man flipping from a black SUV onto a red hatchback is AI-generated; it spread as a prompt and reference video in early October 2026 and has no known first poster. Never try it on a real car.
Can I use my own backflip video as the motion?
This page animates one photo. To copy a specific flip from a clip you have, use Genjutsu AI on TryH3: upload the clip and your photo, and the performer becomes you.
