What is an AI hug video?
An AI hug video is a generated clip in which two people from photographs share an embrace. The model invents the movement and shared setting; it does not recover a real meeting or animate a memory that was recorded. The broader trend has family, friendship and reunion versions, with no single required person, original clip or song.
Here, photo 1 and photo 2 are sent as separate identity references to Seedance 2.0 Mini or Pro. They are not treated as a first and last frame, and no stock hug video is fed to the model. The preset asks for actual arm and body movement in one continuous shot.
Keep two faces separate during an AI hug
Photo 1 defines person A; photo 2 defines person B. The prompt keeps each face and outfit distinct, asks for slightly offset heads and avoids face-to-face overlap. These are generation instructions, not a tested guarantee of perfect identity retention.
| What you see | What to change before another attempt |
|---|---|
| Faces blend at contact | Use sharp, similarly lit portraits. Show the shoulders and arms, and avoid sunglasses or a face hidden behind hair. A gentle side-offset embrace gives the model less overlap to resolve. |
| Arms cross or one person moves too early | Choose Gentle hug and remove extra actions from the note. The preset coordinates both people opening their arms. A head-only crop leaves the body and hands to be invented. |
| Different rooms or lighting | Matching backgrounds are not required. The model builds a simple setting inspired by photo 1. Similar face angles and light direction help both people belong in the same shot; neither original background is guaranteed. |
| A longer clip adds more mistakes | Start with 5 seconds and a simple hug. Use 10 seconds when the approach needs breathing room. Increasing resolution adds output pixels; it does not repair an unclear input face or guarantee better anatomy. |
AI hug video examples: look at the contact
Compare the faces just before the embrace, the hands at contact and the final pose. Some hugs hide a face or invent hand details. These examples illustrate possible motion, not a promise of the same scene or likeness for every upload.

How to make an AI hug video from two photos
- 01
Pick two clear portraits
Upload one image of each person, ideally from the waist up. Keep both faces large and unobstructed. You do not need to combine the photos into a collage.
- 02
Choose motion and output
Choose Gentle hug for a close embrace or Reunion hug for a small approach. Mini defaults to 5 seconds at 720p for 18 credits; Pro adds 1080p. Pick 9:16 or 16:9 and choose silence or ambient sound.
- 03

Sign in, confirm photo permission and check the displayed credit charge. Preview the faces and hands before downloading the MP4. Leave the page if needed: the task remains in Creations.
Old photos, family hugs and your younger self
For a memorial hug, choose a clear scan that still looks like the person you remember. Avoid aggressive restoration that changes eyes, teeth or skin texture. Pair it with a recent photo at a similar angle. Mixing black-and-white and color can lead the model to reinterpret the older photo; color and clothing may shift.
An adult and childhood portrait can be supplied as the two identities, but age and height differences make the motion harder. Keep the request to a gentle embrace. Share it as an imagined AI tribute, consider how relatives will feel, and get appropriate permission before using family photos.
This tool is designed around two people. It does not include a pet-jump preset or create a missing relative from a name. For subtle movement in one old photograph, use Animate Old Photos.
Animate old photos ↗AI hug generator: credits, free access and downloads
Every generated video uses credits. Hug style, frame shape and ambient sound do not change the charge. The tool displays the price before submission. The dollar figures below are credit equivalents, not standalone purchase prices.

| Seedance 2.0 Mini · 480p | 9 credits · ≈$0.25 | 17 credits · ≈$0.47 |

Dollar equivalents use Studio monthly: $49.90 for 1,800 credits ($0.02772 per credit). They are not separate pay-per-video checkout prices. A new generation or a manual retry costs credits again.
| Access or purchase | What you get |
|---|---|
| Free signup allowance | Eligible new accounts currently receive up to 5 credits, valid for 7 days. That covers 0 AI hug videos because the minimum is 9 credits. There is no daily free-render allowance. Browsing needs no account; generation requires sign-in. No card is needed to create an account. |
| One-time Trial pack | $5 buys 24 credits with no subscription. This covers 2 Mini videos at 5 s / 480p (9 each), or 1 at 5 s / 720p (18), with credits left over. |
| Monthly subscriptions | Creator: $29.90 / 800 credits. Studio: $49.90 / 1,800 credits. Monthly credits expire at the paid billing period’s end; one-time pack credits last 365 days. |

| Failed video or unwanted result | A failed generation returns its credits. A delivered clip with distorted faces, awkward arms or a look you dislike is still a completed generation. A new attempt costs credits again; there is no free paid-model preview. |
A copyable AI hug video prompt
This is the exact 5-second Gentle hug prompt used by the tool, with sound off and no extra note. The two uploads are referenced in their input order. Choosing Reunion hug or 10 seconds changes the motion timing automatically.
Create a 5-second natural, affectionate hug video using exactly two uploaded identity-reference images. Image 1 defines person A; image 2 defines person B. Keep each person's own facial features, age, skin tone, hair, body proportions and clothing distinct throughout. Do not merge faces, swap identities or invent a third person. Place both people together in a simple, softly lit setting inspired by image 1. Match the lighting without changing either identity. Show both from at least the waist up with their arms visible. Use one steady eye-level medium shot, no cuts, zooms or photo transitions. Seconds 0–1.5: already standing close, they turn gently toward each other. Seconds 1.5–4: both slowly raise their arms and settle into a calm, comforting hug. Seconds 4–5: hold the hug with quiet breathing and a small smile; no dramatic gestures. Keep faces slightly offset at three-quarter angles so neither face passes through the other. Hands rest naturally on the shoulders or upper back, with no extra fingers, limbs or intersecting arms. No kissing, talking, fantasy transformations, angel wings, captions, logos or watermarks. Silent video, no music and no speech.
The AI hug video generator already applies this prompt for you. Add one simple detail in the optional note; several gestures, a moving camera and outfit changes make a hug harder to keep coherent.
AI hug video generator questions
Can I make two people hug when the photos have different backgrounds?
Yes. Upload each person separately; no collage is needed. The model creates one setting inspired by photo 1 and uses both photos as identity references. Similar lighting, visible shoulders and comparable face angles help. It may change the backgrounds and clothing details.
Why do faces merge or swap during an AI hug?
When heads and arms overlap, the model has to invent details it can no longer see. Clear portraits, a gentle hug and slightly offset faces can reduce the ambiguity. This tool asks for separate identities and a steady camera, but it cannot guarantee an unchanged face in every frame.
Should I restore a faded black-and-white family photo first?
Start with the clearest original scan you have. Use light cleanup only if needed, and compare any restoration with the original face. Strong sharpening or colorization can invent features. A sharp modern portrait and a tiny faded face are difficult to match, even at 1080p.
Is this an AI hug video generator free without login?
No. You can browse the tool and examples without logging in, but generation requires an account and credits. Eligible signup gifts are up to 5 credits for 7 days, below the 9-credit minimum. The $5 one-time pack includes 24 credits and unlocks clean downloads; no monthly subscription is required.
Will I pay again if the hug looks wrong?
A generation that fails returns its credits. A completed MP4 with an unwanted expression or distorted hands is still a delivered result, so generating again costs credits. Downloads have no separate credit charge. Check the model, length and resolution before each attempt.
Can I make and download an AI hug video on my phone?
Use this page in a mobile browser, upload the two photos and choose 9:16 for a vertical video. Mini offers 480p or 720p; Pro also offers 1080p. When the task finishes, use Download MP4, then your browser’s save or share controls. No app or APK is required.
How is this different from a CapCut hug template or an AI hug picture?
This AI hug generator creates a moving MP4 from your two photos. A static AI hug picture is one image; an editing template may simply arrange still photos or add transitions. You can import the finished MP4 into CapCut and add music you have permission to use. This tool does not export a CapCut project or include a fixed trend song.
