What is an AI time freeze video?

An AI time freeze video turns a still photo into a short moving scene where some people or objects appear suspended in time. You choose which part stays still: the world around a moving person, the person inside a moving world, or the whole scene while the camera circles it.

Time stop is a family of visual effects, rather than one routine with a single original song. Bullet time is associated with science-fiction filmmaking, especially The Matrix. Here, your photo becomes the first frame; the model generates what happens next. This is different from stop-motion animation, which builds motion from a sequence of still frames.

EffectWhat stays stillWhat moves
Stop WorldBackground people, traffic and airborne objects after the freeze cue.The main person makes a small movement through the frozen scene.
Frozen SubjectThe main person holds the pose already visible in your photo. Background people, traffic, foliage or fabric continue moving.
Bullet TimeThe subject and surrounding objects hold one suspended moment. The camera makes a short, smooth arc around the scene.

Time freeze videos: three ways to stop time

Watch the relationship between the subject, the background and the camera. Your photo supplies the scene and pose; these examples illustrate the effects, not an exact layout or a guaranteed result.

Make a time stop AI video from one photo

  1. 01

Upload a scene you want to keep

Choose one JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB, with both sides at least 300 pixels. Keep the main person sharp and leave space around the frozen objects. Use a photo you have permission to animate.

  2. 02

    Decide who freezes

Choose Stop World, Frozen Subject or Bullet Time. Set 5 or 10 seconds, portrait or landscape, model, resolution and whether time resumes at the end. Optional ambience adds generated sound, without a supplied music track.

  3. 03

    Check the credits and generate

Sign in and check the total before generating. The result remains available in My Creations while you leave the page. When it is ready, preview it and download the MP4. Inspect faces, hands and the freeze timing before posting.

Keep faces, frozen objects and framing consistent

A clear starting frame does more than a long scene description. Keep one main action, a small camera move and enough room around the subject. Ten seconds gives a freeze-and-resume sequence more room; five seconds suits a simple held pose.

Your starting photoWhat to expect
Full body in a street or caféBest for Stop World. Show the feet and hands if you want a small step or a finger snap. Keep background faces large enough to remain readable.
Half-body portrait or close-up selfieUse a small head or hand movement, or a restrained Bullet Time arc. The model would have to invent unseen legs and scenery for a full-body walk, so that result is less reliable.
A pose, pet or object you want to holdFrozen Subject preserves the pose in the photo. For a suspended jump, start with an actual jumping pose. A pet can be the subject, but fur, eyes and paws may still shift.
Water, rain or airborne piecesUse Bullet Time with a simple splash already visible in the image. Small droplets can merge or vanish, especially with long clips or large camera moves. Exact liquid shapes are not guaranteed.

For a vertical Reel, start with a vertical photo and choose 9:16. A different output ratio may crop or invent the edges. Face identity, clothing, the freeze cue and perfectly static objects are requested, not guaranteed.

The same price applies to all three effects, both ending choices and optional sound. Default: Seedance 2.0 Mini, 5 seconds, 720p, for 18 credits. Choose 480p for the lowest cost: 9 credits.

Access or actionWhat it costs / what you receive
Free complete videos0. Eligible new accounts can receive up to 5 welcome credits, valid for 7 days. The lowest-cost video needs 9 credits. There is no daily free generation allowance for this tool.
One-time Trial pack$5 buys 24 credits without a subscription. That covers two Mini 5-second 480p videos, or one default Mini 5-second 720p video, before any unused balance.
Accounts without a completed paymentGenerated videos carry a moving TryH3 watermark. Welcome or gift credits do not remove it.
Paid downloadsA completed payment unlocks clean downloads for new results. Existing watermarked results can be unlocked when their clean original is retained. Downloading has no additional credit charge.
Failed generationGeneration credits are returned when the task fails. An upload or validation error before generation does not start a billed video.
Retrying a completed videoA completed clip with an imperfect face or freeze still uses its credits. Starting another generation costs the displayed amount again. Two default attempts total 36 credits, about $1.00 at the Studio monthly rate.

Time freeze sound effect and ending

Turn on generated ambience to request scene sound: a finger snap and quiet surroundings for Stop World, passing traffic around a Frozen Subject, or a subtle cinematic whoosh for Bullet Time. Sound is generated with the video, so precise timing can vary. No original song is supplied; leave sound off for a silent clip.

Stay frozen leaves the selected subject or world suspended. Resume motion asks that motion return in the last part of the clip. Choose 10 seconds when you want a clear opening, freeze and return. This tool generates a new clip; it does not extend or edit an existing video.

The tool writes the time freeze AI prompt from your effect, duration, ending and sound choices. Add a short scene note if needed, such as “keep the red coat and use a gentle camera move.” Conflicting directions can weaken the effect.

AI time freeze video questions

Can a half-body selfie become a full-body time stop video?

It can require the model to invent your lower body and the hidden scene, which makes anatomy and identity less reliable. For a walking Stop World scene, upload a clear full-body photo. For a selfie, use a small movement or a short Bullet Time arc that stays close to the original framing.

Is this the same as Higgsfield AI time freeze?

The effect names describe similar motion ideas, but this tool uses Seedance 2.0 Mini or Pro. Stop World freezes the surroundings, Frozen Subject holds the person still, and Bullet Time moves the camera around a suspended scene. It is not a Higgsfield preset or an affiliated service.

Can a standing photo make me float in midair?

Frozen Subject is designed to hold the pose in your photo. A standing portrait stays a standing pose; it does not reliably create a believable jump. Start with a photo of the airborne pose if you want a suspended action shot.

Can time start moving again at the end?

Yes. Select Resume motion. The prompt asks the frozen part of the scene to resume during the final segment. Ten seconds gives this sequence more room than five. Timing and continuity can vary, and this setting does not add seconds or extend an existing clip.

Can I freeze a coffee splash, rain or my pet?

Use Bullet Time for droplets or objects already visible in the photo, or Frozen Subject for a pet while the background moves. Start with a sharp, simple scene. Liquids may merge, fine droplets can disappear and animals can drift from the starting pose; a short clip and a small camera move reduce the complexity.

Why do faces change or frozen people keep moving?

The model synthesizes each new view, so it may change faces, blink, shift poses or freeze objects at different moments. Use a clearer photo, fewer background subjects, a shorter clip and a smaller camera move. Exact identity and frame-perfect freezing are not guaranteed; a completed retry is billed again.

Do time stop videos include a song or finger-snap sound?

The sound option requests generated ambience and effect sounds appropriate to your preset, including a finger snap for Stop World. There is no supplied song, fixed soundtrack or exact audio timing guarantee. Sound off requests a silent result. Use music you have permission to add when editing or posting.

Is it free, and how much do retries cost?

There are no complete free videos: up to 5 eligible welcome credits do not cover the 9-credit minimum. The $5 Trial pack gives 24 credits. A failed generation refunds its credits, but a completed result with visual imperfections is still charged. Each new attempt costs the selected model, duration and resolution price again.

Choose what stops. Let the rest move.
