What is the daijoubu dog dance?

The daijoubu dog dance is a TikTok trend in which a dog (or a cat) “dances” to “Otsukare SUMMER” (おつかれSUMMER), a 2003 song by the Japanese duo HALCALI; the name comes from the lyric “大丈Vでしょ” (daijoubu deshou, roughly “it’s fine, right?”), so the same trend is also called the daijoubu deshou dance or the Otsukare Summer dance. In mid-2026 owners filmed their real dogs while holding their paws through the moves; by October most pet versions were AI videos of one routine in a cloud-filled photo studio: the dog sits, presses both paws to its cheeks, stands and sways, tucks a paw under its chin and ends holding a camera as the lights go down. This generator puts your own pet into that routine from one photo — 8 s on every model or the full 16 s on Seedance 2.5, vertical, with the sound — from 16 credits (about $0.44).

  1. 01

    Pick one clear photo

One dog or cat, facing the camera, with the face, ears and front paws in view. A photo of the pet sitting or standing works better than one lying down.

  2. 02

    Choose length and model

8 s on Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p is the cheapest try (16 credits). For the whole 16 s routine with the camera ending, pick Seedance 2.5. The button shows the price before you pay.

  3. 03

Generate and wait a few minutes

The video keeps running if you close the page; it appears under the generator and in Creations. If it fails, the credits come back on their own.

Save the MP4 (on iPhone: Share, then Save Video). On TikTok, keep the sound that is on the video or pick the Otsukare SUMMER sound, turn on the AI-generated label and add #otsukaresummer #daijoubudeshou #dogdance.

Daijoubu dog dance performance, second by second

The cloud-studio routine your pet does. An 8 s video stops after the first five rows; the 16 s video plays all of them.

TimeWhat your pet does
0–0.8 sSits on the studio floor and looks up at the lens
0.8–2 sClose-up: leans in and presses both front paws to its cheeks
2–4 sWide shot: stands on its hind legs between the clouds, sways and throws little paw punches
4–5.3 sClose-up of the face: eyes half shut, then a happy look
5.3–8 sStanding: both paws swing forward, then one paw tucks under the chin
8–9 sClose-up: paws to the cheeks again, mouth open
9–12 sWide shot: paws together, a small two-paw wave, paw under the chin
12–14 sHolds a little camera up to its face as if taking your photo
14–16 sThe lights fade until only its silhouette is left

How to do the Otsukare Summer dance yourself

The human Otsukare Summer dance is a few seconds of hand moves on the “daijoubu deshou” line. Learn it in this order, slowly first, then on the beat:

MoveHow
Little punchesTwo or three quick, small punches forward at chest height, knees soft
Fist under the chinOne arm across the waist, the other fist resting under the chin, head tilted
V signA V sign next to the face on “V” of “大丈V”, with a wink if you like
Cheek pokeBoth index fingers poke your cheeks while you smile at the camera
Hop and repeatA small hop or bounce, then loop from the punches

Filming a mirrored Otsukare Summer dance tutorial at 0.5× speed is the quickest way to learn it. Dogs cannot do these moves on their own: in the real-dog videos the owner holds the paws, and in the AI version the moves are built into the routine.

Which daijoubu dog dance meme is the viral one?

Three different videos all get called the daijoubu dog dance. Counts were read on TikTok on 19 October 2026.

VersionWhat it isHow to recognise it
Real dogs (June–August 2026)Owners film their own dog and move its paws through the hand moves; e.g. @otsr46’s Pomeranian (56.8K plays) and @seungho.paik with Luna (294.7K plays)A human hand holds the paws; the dog sits on a lap
AI Pomeranian in a blue roomOne AI reel of a white Pomeranian in a dress in a sunny blue room (@mongsill.house, 3 August 2026); about 1,300 playsBlue wall, leaf shadows, bubbles, one continuous shot
AI cloud studio (October 2026)The routine most AI pet videos in October follow, in a pink-lilac or peach studio; made with templates and AI toolsCotton-wool clouds, cuts between close-ups and wide shots, paws to cheeks; the long cut ends with a camera and the lights going down

This page makes the third version. Is the dog real? In the AI versions it is not: a dog cannot stand and dance like that for 16 seconds, and the coat and paws shift slightly between cuts.

The daijoubu dog dance song

The daijoubu dog dance song is “Otsukare SUMMER” (おつかれSUMMER) by HALCALI, a Japanese hip-hop duo; “halcali otsukare summer dance” is just the trend named after the band and the song. The part everyone uses is the line “大丈Vでしょ” — a pun that turns “daijoubu” (fine) into a V sign.

On TikTok, search for “おつかれSUMMER” or “otsukare summer” and pick the sound with the most videos; the clip is about 15 seconds. Your generated MP4 already carries the trend’s clip, aligned with the moves.

Music rights: personal posts with the platform’s own sound are the usual route. For ads or a business account, use licensed music instead of the song.

Which pet photo works best?

  • One animal only. Two pets in the photo confuse which one dances; make one video per pet.
  • Face and ears clear. The face is what makes it look like your pet in the close-ups.
  • Front paws visible. The routine is mostly paw moves; hidden paws come out wrong.
  • Whole body if you can. Sitting or standing, not curled up or lying flat.
  • Cats work too. Short-legged or very fluffy dogs work; the AI keeps their own size and coat.

Posting, music and consent

  • Label it as AI. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube ask you to mark realistic AI video; post it as an AI edit of your pet.
  • Use your own pet’s photo. For a friend’s or a customer’s pet, ask first, and get written permission before using it to promote a business.
  • The song. The video carries the trend’s clip of HALCALI’s song; ads and brand posts need licensed music.
  • Not the creators. The examples are other people’s videos, credited above; your video is a new AI video of your pet.

Daijoubu dog dance FAQ

Is the dog in the daijoubu dance real or AI?

Both exist. The June–August videos are real dogs whose owners move their paws. The October cloud-studio videos are AI: a dog cannot stand and dance like that for 16 seconds, and coat details shift between cuts.

Are the Otsukare Summer dance, daijoubu deshou dance and kkungsit challenge the same trend?

Yes, they are names for the same trend on the same HALCALI line: Otsukare Summer after the song, daijoubu deshou after the lyric, and 꿍싯꿍싯 (kkungsit) in Korea. The moves differ between the human dance and the pet videos, and there are several pet versions.

Can my cat do the daijoubu dog dance?

Yes. Upload a clear photo of your cat; it stays a cat with its own coat and does the same routine on its hind legs.

Can two dogs dance together?

Not in one video here: the routine has one dancer. Make one video per pet and put them side by side in CapCut or with TikTok’s duet layout.

Do I get my credits back if the video fails?

Yes. If the video fails or Seedance 2.5’s review rejects the photo, every credit is refunded automatically. A finished video you do not like is not refunded, so try 8 s on Mini first.

Can I use HALCALI’s Otsukare SUMMER on TikTok without a copyright strike?

Personal posts that use the platform’s own Otsukare SUMMER sound are the usual, safest route. Business accounts and ads have a narrower music library; use licensed music there.

Can I make it from an old photo of a dog that passed away?

Yes. Pick the sharpest photo with the face and markings clear; even a slightly blurry photo can work, but check the markings in the close-ups before you share it.

Is my pet’s photo kept or shown publicly?

Your photo and video are tied to your account and are not published by us. They are stored to make and deliver your video; see the privacy policy for details.
