AI Ceiling Fan Transition with your own outfits

Upload a photo of your face, then four outfit photos, one per look. You appear on a rug under a spinning ceiling fan, and every time a blade sweeps over you the next outfit appears, in the order you set. No outfit photos? Pick a theme pack.

One 15-second overhead shot, vertical for TikTok and Reels: the fan, the blade timing and the poses are built in. Failed videos are refunded automatically.

Make your ceiling fan transition

1. Your face photo

A clear, front-facing photo in good light works best. Full body is a bonus, not a must.

2. Outfits, one per blade pass

Four photos, one per look, in the order they should appear: screenshots, flat lays or product shots all work. Only the clothes are used, not the person or background in them.

3. Model and quality

With music, a 15-second track timed to the outfit changes is laid under your video. Pick Silent if you will add a trending sound on TikTok or Instagram instead.

Add a photo of your face to start.

Your photos and video stay in your account. We never publish them.

Accounts without a purchase get a moving tryh3.com watermark; any paid plan or pack removes it, including on videos you already made.

What is the AI ceiling fan transition?

The AI ceiling fan transition is a TikTok outfit-change video seen from the ceiling: you lie on a rug, a ceiling fan turns between the camera and you, and each time a blade passes over your body you are wearing something new. The blade works as a wipe, so the change looks seamless while your face, pose and room stay put. It is also called the under the fan trend, the fan transition or the fan blade outfit change, and it took off in late September 2026. Here you make it from one face photo, with your own outfit photos in the order you choose.

Price: a 15-second 480p video on Wan 3.0 costs 89 credits (about $2.47 at the Studio monthly rate). Every model and resolution is priced in the table below, from 30 to 623 credits.

How to make the AI ceiling fan transition with your own outfits

About five minutes of your time, then a few minutes of waiting. No ceiling fan, tripod or editing app needed.

  1. 01

    Add your face photo

One clear, front-facing photo of one person. A full-body shot helps the model get your build right, but a face photo works.

  2. 02

    Add outfit photos in order

Four pictures of the clothes, one per look: your own photos, screenshots from a shop or flat lays. Look 1 opens the video, and each blade pass reveals the next. Or pick a theme pack.

  3. 03

    Pick model, quality and sound

Wan 3.0 is the default; Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p is the cheapest test. Choose Silent if you will add the trend sound on TikTok. There is no prompt to write: the fan, the camera and the blade timing are built in.

  4. 04

    Download and post

Download the MP4 and post it with its music, or swap in a trending sound in TikTok, Instagram or YouTube. Turn on the platform’s AI-generated label before you post.

Will it keep my face and my clothes?

Most tools say “keeps your identity” and stop there. Here is what actually happens with your photos.

  • Your photo is a reference for the whole clip. It is not just the first frame that slowly drifts away: the model keeps your face, hairstyle, skin tone and build from the photo in every look, and only the clothes change.
  • Each outfit photo is tied to one blade wipe. The video has four looks that change at about 5, 9 and 13 seconds, always while a blade covers you, so the order you set is the order you get.
  • Only the clothes come from outfit photos. A model, mannequin, hanger or background in those pictures is ignored, and no accessory is added that is not in the photo.
  • One face, one person. The video always has exactly one person, built from your face photo; nobody from the outfit photos is copied in.

What can still drift: small prints, logos and lettering get simplified; very detailed lace or sequins come out softer at 480p; a hand or bag can move between looks. Higher-detail models (Seedance 2.0 Pro, Seedance 2.5) and 720p or 1080p keep garments closer. If a video fails, the credits come back; a finished video you do not like is not refunded, so test on Mini at 480p first.

For boutiques and clothing brands

The ceiling fan transition is a cheap way to show four pieces from your shop in one Reel without a shoot.

  • Use one model photo for every Reel. The same face photo across a series keeps your feed consistent.
  • Shoot or crop each product on its own. One garment or one outfit per picture, front view, plain background, no other people. Put them in the order you want them revealed.
  • Check prints before you post. Small logos, lettering and fine patterns can be simplified. If a detail matters, use Seedance 2.0 Pro or 2.5 at 720p or higher.
  • Label it. Turn on the AI-generated label on TikTok and Instagram, and do not present the video as a real try-on: the fit and drape are made up by the model.
  • Budget for retries. Plan for about one retry per three videos while you learn which product photos work.

Thirty 15-second Reels a month on Wan 3.0 at 720p is 5340 credits, about $148.04 on the Studio monthly plan (178 credits each).

Fan outfit transition prompt for other tools

Using Kling, Dreamina, Runway or another image-to-video tool instead? This fan transition video prompt carries the parts that usually go wrong: a locked camera, a fixed number of blades and changes timed to the blades. Attach your photo as the first reference and replace the four looks.

Overhead shot looking straight down from the ceiling at the person from the reference photo, lying on their back on a patterned rug, whole body in frame, 10 seconds, vertical 9:16. A ceiling fan with four straight wooden blades turns slowly between the camera and the person. The camera is locked: no zoom, pan, tilt or cut; room, light and pose stay the same. Keep the face, hair, skin tone and body exactly as in the photo; only the clothes change. The outfit changes only while a blade fully covers the body, like a wipe. Look 1 from the start: a cream knit sweater and jeans. At 2.5 s a blade reveals look 2: a brown leather jacket and boots. At 5 s look 3: a beige trench coat. At 7.5 s look 4: a black evening outfit. Exactly four rigid blades. No text or logos.

Negative prompt

camera movement, zoom, cut, extra fan blades, bent blades, melting clothes, outfit morphing between blades, two outfits blended, changing face, changing hairstyle, different person, extra limbs, text, watermark

Variants that keep the trend recognisable

  • Halloween. Start in pajamas, then a witch, a vampire, a skeleton and a pumpkin costume, same bedroom, a darker warm lamp.
  • Shop drop. Use four new-in pieces from the same collection in the order of the product page, with a plain cream rug so the colours stand out.
  • Hair and make-up. Keep one outfit and change the hairstyle or make-up on each pass instead.
  • Room or season. Keep the person still and change the rug, plants and light from spring to winter on each pass.

Film the ceiling fan transition without AI

The trend started as a filmed edit. If you have a phone and four outfits, this is the safe way to do it.

  1. 01

Never mount the phone on the fan

Turn the fan off. Fix the phone to the ceiling or a high shelf with a phone mount or a tall tripod with a boom arm, lens pointing down, next to the fan rather than on it.

  2. 02

    Mark your spot

Lie down and mark where your head and feet go with tape at the edge of the rug, so every take lines up.

  3. 03

    Record one clip per outfit

Same pose, same light, four to five seconds each. Change outfits between clips and lie back on the marks.

  4. 04

    Film the blade separately

Turn the fan on slowly and record a few seconds of the blades passing over the empty rug, or use a fan overlay from CapCut.

  5. 05

Cut on the blade in CapCut

Put the clips in order. At each blade pass, split the clip where the blade fully covers your body and start the next outfit on the following frame.

  6. 06

    Add a wipe if needed

If the cut shows, add a short wipe or mask that follows the blade’s edge for 3–5 frames.

AI ceiling fan transition problems and fixes

The six problems people ask about most, and what to change.

ProblemWhat to do
My face looks different after an outfit changeUse a sharper, front-facing face photo without sunglasses or heavy filters. Seedance 2.0 Pro and 2.5 hold faces better than Mini.
Clothes start changing before the blade arrivesTry again, or switch to Wan 3.0 or Seedance 2.0 Pro, which follow the blade timing more closely than Mini. Outfit photos with one outfit each on a plain background help too.
Two outfits blend togetherMake sure each outfit photo shows one outfit only, with nothing else in the picture, and try a higher-detail model.
Extra or bent fan blades, or the camera movesTry again, or pick another model; Wan 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 Pro keep the fan closest to the trend.
Blurry face or clothes on Instagram480p is fine for a test but soft on Reels. Make the final one at 720p or 1080p rather than upscaling a 480p file.
A pattern or logo on my product changedUse a front-facing product photo on a plain background, and a higher-detail model at 720p or more. Very small text will still be simplified.

Song, hashtags, AI label and permission

  • Add the sound on the platform. Pick “Girls on Film” or another trending track from TikTok’s or Instagram’s own library rather than baking a copyrighted song into the file; licensing differs by platform and for ads.
  • Label it as AI. TikTok and Instagram ask you to label realistic AI-generated video. Use the toggle when you post.
  • Hashtags. #ceilingfantransition and #ceilingfantrend name the trend; #outfittransition reaches fashion viewers. Open with the first look in frame and say how many looks are coming.
  • Ask first. Only upload photos of yourself or of people who agreed. Do not use photos of celebrities, influencers or anyone under 18.
  • Loop it. To loop smoothly, add your first outfit again as the last look so the end matches the start.

AI ceiling fan transition FAQ

What music works best for an AI ceiling fan transition, and what is safe to use on Reels?

Your video comes with a music track timed to the outfit changes, which change at about 5, 9 and 13 seconds of the 15-second clip. To use a trending song instead, pick Silent here and choose a track with a clear beat (around 100–120 BPM) from Instagram’s or TikTok’s own music library when you post, so it is licensed for that platform.

Do I lose my credits if the face comes out wrong or the outfits are in the wrong order?

If the video fails, or Seedance 2.5 rejects a photo, the credits are returned automatically. A finished video that you do not like is not refunded, so make a cheap test first (Seedance 2.0 Mini, 480p, about 30 credits) and switch to a higher-detail model once your photos work.

My 480p video looks blurry on Instagram Reels. Should I upscale it?

Make the final one at 720p or 1080p instead. Upscaling a 480p file sharpens edges but cannot bring back detail in faces and fabric, and Reels compression makes it softer again.

How do I make the ceiling fan transition loop without a jump?

Use your first outfit photo again as the fourth photo (looks 1, 2, 3, then look 1 again), and trim the end in your editor on a frame where a blade covers you.

Can I use the blade wipe for hairstyles, make-up or room makeovers instead of clothes?

Not on this page: here only the clothes change and your hair, face and the room stay the same. For a hairstyle, make-up or room version, use the prompt for other tools below and describe a new hairstyle, make-up look or room on each pass instead of new clothes.

Do I have to label an AI ceiling fan transition on TikTok and Instagram?

Yes for realistic AI video: both platforms ask you to use their AI-generated label. If you sell clothes, also avoid presenting it as a real try-on, because the fit and movement are generated.

Which hashtag should I use: #ceilingfantransition, #fantransition or #outfittransition?

Use #ceilingfantransition or #ceilingfantrend to join the trend and #outfittransition to reach fashion viewers. #fantransition also matches CapCut fan templates, so it is less specific.

Can I upload a photo of my partner or a celebrity?

Only with the person’s permission. Ask your partner first, and do not upload photos of celebrities, influencers or anyone under 18. Uploads are used for your video only and are not shown publicly.
