Your photo
One person, face to the camera, whole head and hair in frame.
Use your own photo or one of an adult who agreed. A sharp, front-facing photo works best, because most of the video is a close-up of the face. No celebrities or public figures. JPEG, PNG or WebP.
Floating chair video · 480p · With the song
This video costs 26 credits. Charged when you start, refunded automatically if it fails.
The cheapest video is 26 credits, so the $5 Trial pack (24 credits) does not cover one. The $9.90 pack (180 credits) covers six of them.

What is the floating chair AI video?
A floating chair AI video is a short clip where you lean far back in a chrome chair hovering above a green carpet and sing to the camera. It recasts 19 seconds of Billie Eilish's BIRDS OF A FEATHER video. For TikTok, Reels and Shorts users: one photo, from 26 credits (about $0.72) for 10 seconds, up to 19 seconds and 1080p, song included. Free accounts get a moving watermark.
It is not a pool float or a piece of furniture, and it is not a magic trick. Hovering chair AI and levitating chair AI are other names for the same clip. "Floating Chair" is a descriptive name from late October 2026; many TikTok posts call it the Birds of a Feather chair trend.

What song is in the floating chair video?
The song is BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Billie Eilish, from her 2024 album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT. The clip is not an anonymous AI original: it recasts the chair scene from the official music video, released on 27 September 2024 and directed by Aidan Zamiri. In the video an unseen force throws her around an empty office, and she keeps singing from a chair that leaves the floor.
We checked this rather than guessing. The room, the camera and the cuts of the floating chair clip match the music video from about 0:40 to 0:59, and its sound lines up with the official track from the same point. Billie Eilish did not make the AI versions, and this site has no connection to her or her label. The floating chairs music video people search for is this one.

What does a floating chair AI video look like?
Two recasts of the same sequence: the chair legs in the air, the side lean and the overhead close-ups, on the same part of the song.
Results vary from run to run. Fast head turns can soften the face for a moment, and the mouth follows the singing loosely, not word by word.
How do I make a floating chair video from one photo?
- 01
Add one photo
Pick a sharp photo of one person facing the camera, with the whole head and hair in frame. A phone selfie is fine. Any outfit works.
- 02
Choose your version
Keep your own clothes or take the powder-blue knit. Pick 16:9 or 9:16, a length and a model. Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p is the default; the price shows before you start.
- 03
Generate and download
It takes a few minutes and keeps going if you close the page. Check the overhead close-ups, then download the MP4 here or from Creations.
No green screen, no filming and no prompt to write. The room, the hovering chair and every cut are built in.
What happens in the 19 seconds?
Your video follows the music video shot by shot. 10 and 15 second videos stop part way through this list. Use the last column to check your result before you post it.
| Seconds | Shot | What to look for |
|---|---|---|
| 0–1 | Wide shot through the glass door: the chair hovers in the empty room | A gap and a soft shadow under the chair |
| 1–2 | Low shot of the chair legs and feet in the air | No leg or shoe touches the carpet |
| 2–3 | First overhead close-up, arms flung out | The face looks like you straight away |
| 3–4 | Side view of the lean, head tipped back | Hair hangs toward the floor at your real length |
| 4–8 | Overhead close-ups with a quick cut to a hand on the chair | Five fingers, and the chair keeps its shape |
| 8–11 | Low shot of the chair off the ground, then overhead again | The floor seems to slide under you |
| 11–15 | Overhead: the head turns fast, and long hair whips across the face | The same person when the hair clears |
| 15–19 | One more lean, then a last close-up as the shoulders swing | Only in the 19 second version |
Is the chair really floating? The floating chair trick explained
No. In your video nothing floats: the whole clip is generated by AI, so label it as AI-made when you post. In the music video the chair is a film effect, and we found no public breakdown of how that shot was made, so we will not guess. Real-world versions are a separate thing, and they explain most searches for a floating chair illusion.
| What you saw | How it stays up | Really floating? |
|---|---|---|
| The AI video on this page | Generated frame by frame; there is no chair | No, it never existed |
| Tensegrity chair or table | Tension cables or chains hold the top up from a hook in the middle, and the outer ones keep it level | No, it hangs on its cables |
| Magic trick videos | A hidden support or a lever carries the weight, and the angle hides it | No, it is held up |
| Magnet desk toy | Magnets really do lift a small object, but not a seated person | Yes, for small objects |

How much does it cost, and can I make it for free?
The price depends on the model, the length and the resolution. Everything else is included, and 16:9 and 9:16 cost the same. These numbers come from the live price list, so the generator above always matches.

| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Free signup credits | New accounts get 5 credits, which is not enough for a video (the cheapest is 26). |
| Cheapest way to try one | The $5 Trial pack (24 credits) falls 2 credits short. The $9.90 pack (180 credits) is the smallest purchase that covers a video, and it covers six at the cheapest setting. |
| Subscription needed? | No. One-time credit packs work, so one video for a birthday joke does not need a monthly plan. |
| Watermark | Videos from accounts without a purchase carry a moving tryh3.com mark. After any completed purchase, new videos are clean. |
| Failed or refused videos | Credits come back automatically. |
| Test before you pay more | Try a 10 second 480p video first to see how your photo holds up, then make the 720p or 19 second version. |
Can I post it as a full-screen 9:16 TikTok?
Yes, without cropping it yourself. Pick 9:16 and the camera stays on you, so the face fills the screen in the close-ups. The trade-off is width: your arms run off the sides of the frame in the overhead shots and the opening room shot looks smaller. Pick 16:9 to keep the full wide look of the music video.
Can I keep my own clothes and hair?
Yes. Your face, hair and clothes come from your photo, so short hair stays short and a man with a beard keeps it. If you want the look from the first version of the trend, choose the powder-blue knit and the video dresses you in the cardigan and top, with a long skirt for a woman or loose trousers for a man, whatever your photo shows. If your photo stops at the shoulders, the rest of the outfit is filled in to match.
Why does my face keep changing between shots?
Most of the 19 seconds is a very close overhead shot, and the head turns fast, so the face has to be rebuilt from many angles. The usual cause is the photo.
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The face changes after the hair crosses it | Use a sharp, front-facing photo in even light where the face fills a good part of the frame. Then run it again, or move up to Seedance 2.5. |
| The hair came out longer or a different colour | Use a photo that shows your whole head and hair, not one in a hat or hood. |
| The chair looks like it is resting on the carpet | Run it again. If the low shots still touch the floor, try Seedance 2.0 Pro or Seedance 2.5. |
| A hand has the wrong number of fingers | Hands on the chair frame are hard for every video model. Run it again on Pro or Seedance 2.5. |
| The mouth does not match the words | The mouth follows the singing loosely, not word by word. A higher model will not change that, so post it for the look. |
| It looks blurry after uploading to Instagram | Regenerate at 720p or 1080p. A better photo helps more than an upscaler. |
| A man came out looking feminine | Use a sharp chest-up photo with your jaw, neck and shoulders in frame, then run it again on Seedance 2.5. |

What can the floating chair generator not do?
- One person per video. For a couple, make one video each with the same settings and post them as a matching pair.
- The room, the shots and the song are fixed. There is no option to change the set or lay your own song under it.
- The mouth moves with the singing but is not lip-synced word by word.
- Pets are not supported: the overhead close-ups are made for a human face.
- Photos of celebrities, public figures or anyone who did not agree are not allowed, and neither are children.
- A close match to the photo is likely in most shots but not guaranteed in every frame, especially while the hair crosses the face.
Can I use the song and post it?
BIRDS OF A FEATHER is a commercial song, so a video with it is fine for your own feed but not for ads. If you want your video listed under the song, mute the MP4 and pick the official sound inside TikTok or Instagram. Platforms can mute or restrict music in monetized or branded posts. Turn on the AI label when you post: TikTok, Instagram and YouTube all ask for it on realistic AI video. For a paid campaign, change the outfit and use licensed music. Only upload a photo of someone who agreed.
Floating chair questions

BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Billie Eilish. The floating chairs music video people mean is her official video, and the sound lines up with the official track from about 0:40, where the chair scene is.
Is the floating chair real?
No. The AI clips are generated and the music video shot is a film effect. Real floating chairs you see online are held up by cables or a hidden support.
Where can I watch the original floating chair clip?
The original scene is in Billie Eilish's official BIRDS OF A FEATHER video on YouTube, from about 0:40. The blue-outfit version people share is an AI recast of it, and we could not find who posted it first.

Not completely. New accounts get 5 credits and the cheapest video is 26. The smallest purchase that covers one is the $9.90 pack, and there is no subscription to cancel.
Do I have to wear the blue outfit?
No. Your own clothes are the default. The powder-blue knit is an option at the same price.
Can I use my own song?
Not on this page, and the mouth would not match it. You can replace the sound in CapCut or inside TikTok after you download the MP4.
Why is 19 seconds only on Seedance 2.5?
The other models stop at 15 seconds per video. 10 and 15 second versions are the opening of the same sequence, and the 15 second one has every kind of shot.
Are hovering chair AI and levitating chair AI the same thing?
Yes. They are other names for the floating chair AI video. "Floating Chair" is a descriptive name from October 2026; there is no official one, so people describe it in their own words.
