Gas Station Dance Trend AI Generator: Put Three Photos in the Viral Clip
The gas station dance trend recasts one short clip: a dance on a sunset forecourt, a walking selfie, then someone stepping out of a car. It started with Russian blogger Mikhail Litvin and his friends Ravshan and Adel, and reposts usually pair it with Akcent's "On and On". Upload three photos, one per shot, and the built-in template keeps the moves, cuts, camera and music. You don't write a prompt.

What is the gas station dance trend?
The gas station dance trend is a three-shot video template. One person dances on an empty forecourt, a second films a walking selfie in front of the gas station, and a third steps out of a car and walks toward the camera. The format comes from a clip of Russian blogger Mikhail Litvin with his friends Ravshan and Adel, and reposts usually credit the music as "On and On" by Akcent. The AI version keeps the shots, the moves and the timing, and swaps each person for someone from a photo, usually in warm sunset light.
On this page: three photos go in, one per shot, and a 15-second video comes out with the template's music. It's a template, so there's no prompt to write and nothing to film. Prices start at 18 credits, and you see the exact cost before you generate.

How to make a gas station dance AI video from three photos
It works in a phone browser on iPhone and Android, or on any laptop, including a Chromebook. There's no app, no editing and no prompt.
- 01
Upload a photo for each shot
Photo 1 dances, photo 2 films the selfie, photo 3 steps out of the car. Use one person per photo, facing the camera. If there are only one or two of you, put the same photo in more than one slot.
- 02
Pick the frame, model and resolution
9:16 is for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and 16:9 is for a landscape post. Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p is the default. Try Mini at 480p if you want the cheapest test, or Pro and 2.5 for 1080p.
- 03
Generate, download, post
Each photo is cast into its shot, and the music goes back on. Download the MP4 and post it. The price is shown on the button before you start.
The three shots, and who each photo plays
Every video follows the same 15-second timeline, cut at the same moments as the template. Photo order decides who appears where.
- 0–5.2 s
Shot 1 · The forecourt dance (photo 1)
A full-body shot on an empty lot at sunset. The dancer sways, bounces and throws both hands over their head, with trucks and low buildings behind. A full-body photo works best here.
- 5.2–7.5 s
Shot 2 · The walking selfie (photo 2)
A whip pan across the sun, then a close, arm's-length selfie while walking on the paved apron, with the station and its red-striped canopy behind. The face fills the frame, so a sharp, front-facing photo matters most here.
- 7.5–15 s
Shot 3 · The car exit (photo 3)
From behind two parked cars, a door swings open and the third person steps out. A closer shot follows them walking toward the camera, smiling, then the camera snaps back to a wide shot between the cars. Use a full-body photo in the outfit you want to arrive in.
Fewer than three people? Who plays which shot
The template always has three slots, but they don't need three different people. A photo used twice puts that person in both shots.
| You have | What to upload | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Three friends | One photo each: the best dancer in slot 1, the most expressive face in slot 2, the best outfit in slot 3 | The classic version: three people, three shots |
| Two people (a couple or two friends) | Person A in slots 1 and 3, person B in slot 2 | A dances and makes the entrance, and B films the selfie in between |
| Just you, with one selfie | The same photo in all three slots | You play every shot. A full-body photo gives better shots 1 and 3 |
| One group photo | Crop each person into their own photo first, then upload the crops | Each friend in their own shot. Uncropped group photos make the model guess who to use |
| Two dancers and one person in the car | Not possible in one video: each shot has exactly one person | Use slot 1 for the dancer, or make two videos with a different dancer each |
Gas station dance trend examples
The same three shots recast with different people: a trio, a Halloween version, a wedding version and a golden-hour take.
Where the gas station dance came from
The format traces back to a clip posted by Mikhail Litvin, one of Russia's best-known bloggers, with his friends Ravshan and Adel. The story that travels with reposts is that it was filmed on a 2024 road trip, at a gas station at around 4 a.m., with no choreography and no second take. Ravshan dances by the pumps, Litvin turns the phone on himself, and Adel climbs out of the car as if arriving at a premiere.
The original was filmed at night under the station's lights. The AI versions that took over TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts in autumn 2026 moved the scene to golden hour, which is why most clips you see now are orange and warm. Reposts usually credit the music as "On and On" by the Romanian group Akcent, though people post it with several edits of the track. In India the same trend spread as the "petrol pump dance trend", with Hindi tutorials built on three photos and Gemini.
Not the Sunoco "dance for a discount" video
Searches for "dance at the gas station" also turn up a different viral video. In summer 2026 a Sunoco station in Halfmoon, New York, offered customers a discount for dancing at the register, to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody", and CNN, Fox and ABC covered it. That's a real-life promotion, not this AI trend. "Gas Station Love" line dance tutorials are also a separate thing.

See credit packs and plans ↗Why a prompt alone doesn't make this trend, and a shot-by-shot prompt if you try anyway
Ask a general video model for "people dancing at a gas station" and you get one person dancing in a random place. The trend is three specific shots with two cuts on the beat, and a text prompt can't pin those down. Templates like this one use a real reference video, so the moves, cuts and camera are copied and only the people change.
If you'd rather try Seedance, Kling or Gemini yourself, describe it shot by shot and attach one photo per person:
Vertical 9:16, 15 seconds, golden hour at an empty gas station, handheld phone footage, three shots. Shot 1 (0–5 s): the person from image 1 dances on the empty forecourt, swaying and throwing both hands above the head, trucks in the background. Shot 2 (5–7.5 s): the person from image 2 films a walking selfie at arm's length, the station's red-striped canopy behind, waving the free hand, sun flare behind. Shot 3 (7.5–15 s): from behind two parked SUVs, a door opens and the person from image 3 steps out and walks toward the camera smiling. Keep each person's face and outfit from their image; one person per shot.
Expect to rerun it a few times: without a reference, the cut points and the dance change on every run.

Fix a bad result
Most problems come from the photos rather than the model. Before you change everything, run the same photos once more, since results vary from run to run.
| Problem | Usual cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The face looks distorted or like someone else | Small, blurry, filtered or side-on photo; sunglasses or a hat | Use a recent, sharp, front-facing original (not a screenshot) with both eyes visible, no filter, and even light |
| The wrong person appears in a shot | Photos in the wrong slots, or a photo with two people in it | Check the order (dancer, selfie, car exit) and crop each photo down to one person |
| Hands or the body look strange | Arms hidden or cut off in the photo; the fast arm moves in shot 1 | Use full-body photos with both arms visible for shots 1 and 3, or try Seedance 2.0 Pro or 2.5 |
| The movement doesn't match the music | The template's track was swapped for a different edit of the song after export | Keep the music that comes with the video. If you add a sound in TikTok, use the trend's original audio, not a remix |
| It looks like a slideshow, not a video | A photo-animation tool without a motion reference | Use a template with a reference clip (like this one), so the motion comes from real footage |
| The video looks soft or blurry | 480p output or a low-resolution photo | Generate at 720p or 1080p, and start from the original photo file |
Posting it, and whose photos you can use
- Post the 9:16 file as it is. It already matches TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, so don't re-crop it. Use 16:9 only for landscape placements.
- Label it as AI. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube ask creators to mark realistic AI video, so turn on the AI-generated label when you post.
- Only use faces that agreed. Use your own photo and friends who said yes. Don't upload strangers, children or celebrities.
- Personal posts only. The music belongs to its rights holders, and this tool doesn't license it for ads. A brand or restaurant version needs licensed music and staff consent.
Gas station dance trend FAQ
Can I make the gas station dance trend with only one selfie?
Yes. Put the same selfie in all three slots and you play every shot. A selfie gives a good close-up in shot 2. A full-body photo looks better in the dance and the car exit, because the model doesn't have to invent your legs and outfit.
My friend and I only have two photos. Who plays which part?
Put one person in slots 1 and 3 and the other in slot 2. The first person dances and makes the entrance from the car, and the second films the selfie in between. Swap the photos if you'd rather it went the other way.
How much does one gas station dance video cost, and is there a free option?
On this page a 15-second video costs 18 to 623 credits. The default, Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p, is 139. Sign-up credits don't cover a video. The cheapest way in is the $5 Trial pack (24 credits), which covers one Seedance 2.0 Mini video at 480p.
Will my video have a watermark, and can I export it in HD?
Videos made before your first purchase carry a moving tryh3.com mark. After you buy any credit pack, new videos have no mark, and the clean copies of earlier ones unlock. You can export at 720p, or at 1080p on Seedance 2.0 Pro and 2.5.
Why does my face look different or distorted in the video?
Usually the photo is small, blurry, filtered or turned to the side, or sunglasses hide the eyes. Use a recent, sharp, front-facing original with even light, and one person in the frame. If one shot is off, run the same photos again before you change anything.
Why doesn't the dance match the music, or why does it look like a slideshow?
The template keeps its own track, so the cuts land on the beat. Mismatches usually come from replacing it with a different edit of the song after export. A slideshow look comes from photo-animation tools that have no motion reference. This generator copies the motion from the template clip.
Can I use staff photos to make a version for a business or an ad?
You can cast staff who agree, but the template's music isn't licensed for advertising. For a brand post, get each person's written consent, replace the audio with music you have the rights to, and label the video as AI-generated.
Is it safe to upload my face photo?
Your photos are uploaded only to make your video, and nothing is posted for you: the finished video stays in your history until you download and share it. Upload only your own face or photos of adults who agreed, and leave out anything you wouldn't want stored online.
