Wipe Me Down Dance AI: You and a Friend in the Viral Kitchen Clip

The Wipe Me Down dance is the low, loose bounce with both hands brushing at the floor, set to the 2007 Foxx, Lil Boosie and Webbie song. Upload two photos and you take over the 15-second kitchen clip the AI trend copies: Photo 1 leans into the camera and drops low first, Photo 2 jumps in at the 9-second mark. Use the same photo twice to dance both parts yourself.

What is the Wipe Me Down dance?

The Wipe Me Down dance is a short party move done to "Wipe Me Down", the 2007 hit by Baton Rouge rapper Foxx with Lil Boosie and Webbie. You lean in, drop into a low, wide crouch with the knees bent and the back down, and rock side to side while both hands flick down at the floor on every beat, as if brushing dust away. Carnell Nichols Jr. (Team Carnell, @trendsetterrrrrrr on TikTok) turned it into a challenge in 2020 and calls himself its original creator. It came back in 2026: a 15-second kitchen clip by @dadxander passed 12 million plays in August, and by October TikTok was full of AI versions that swap new faces into that clip. It is not the 2020 "Wipe It Down" challenge, which is a mirror-wiping outfit change to a different song.

On this page: what the dance is and who started it, the moves step by step, and a generator that puts you (and a friend) into the kitchen clip from two photos. The cheapest video costs 6 credits; the whole 15-second clip starts at 18.

Who started the Wipe Me Down dance?

Ask who invented the Wipe Me Down dance and you will get three different names, because three different things went viral. The song came first, then the dance challenge, then the kitchen clip the AI versions copy.

  1. 2007

    The song

"Wipe Me Down" by Foxx, from the Trill Entertainment compilation Survival of the Fittest, produced by Mouse On Tha Track. The remix with Lil Boosie (now Boosie Badazz) and Webbie, released with Boosie as lead artist, reached No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100. Most dance videos use that remix.

  2. June 2020

    The dance challenge

Carnell Nichols Jr., the "Wipe Me Down dance guy", posts the Wipe Me Down dance challenge with Team Carnell (@trendsetterrrrrrr) on TikTok. He later labels his compilations "the original concept creator", and the account keeps posting tutorials and "wrong dance" call-outs.

  3. February 2026

    Louisiana Michael Myers

@louisiana_micheal_myers1 dances it in a Michael Myers mask, "Louisiana style", and tags Carnell Nichols. His "what the cat doing" version, copying his cat, passes 31 million plays. The Michael Myers, Louisiana and animal searches come from here.

  4. 17 August 2026

    The kitchen clip

@dadxander posts 15 seconds in a blue-grey kitchen: he leans into the phone and drops into the wipe, then his friend jumps in and takes over. It passes 12 million plays. Three days later Carnell Nichols reposts it: "Should we bring my trend back?"

  5. September–October 2026

    The AI versions

TikTok fills with AI copies of the kitchen clip, new faces dropped into the same kitchen, mostly made with a CapCut template linked from the videos, alongside a wave of "how to make it" tutorials. That is the version this page makes.

Is there another name for it? Not really. People call it the Wipe Me Down dance, "the wipe", or, misheard, the "wipe it out" or "wipe it down" dance. The move acts out the song's title: the hands wipe down towards the floor.

Wipe Me Down vs. Wipe It Down: two different trends

The names are one word apart and many captions mix them up, but they are different songs, different moves and different years.

If your caption says "wipe it down" over the low floor-wiping dance, it is the Wipe Me Down dance. Some CapCut templates are named "Wipe it Down AI" for the same reason.

How to do the Wipe Me Down dance, step by step

This is the kitchen clip, beat by beat. Try it yourself, or let the generator do it with your photo. The same timeline is what the 5, 10 and 15-second videos follow.

  1. 0–1 s

    Lean into the camera

Step right up to the phone with a grin, shoulders forward, almost filling the frame.

  2. 1–3 s

    Drop into the low lean

Hop back, set your feet wide, bend the knees and push the hips back. Let both arms hang loose by your knees.

  3. 3–4 s

    A quick tucked jump

Spring up off both feet with the knees tucked, then land straight back in the crouch.

  4. 4–8.5 s

    Wipe the floor

Stay low and rock from side to side. On every beat, flick both hands down at the floor as if brushing off dust. Keep it loose, not sharp.

  5. 8.5–9.5 s

Pop up and hand it over

Stand up grinning and step aside. Your friend jumps in from behind you.

  6. 9.5–15 s

    The friend takes over

Arms out, low bouncing steps side to side, the same hand flicks, a loose kick to finish, while the first dancer watches with arms folded.

Learning it for real? Practise the crouch and the hand flick slowly first; the bounce comes from the knees, not the back. Team Carnell's tutorials on TikTok show it at full speed.

How to make a Wipe Me Down dance AI video

It works in a phone browser on iPhone and Android, so there is no app to install, no CapCut template to find and no prompt to write.

  1. 01

    Upload two photos

Photo 1 dances first; Photo 2 takes over at 9 seconds. One adult per photo, face sharp, ideally waist-up or full length so the outfit shows. On your own? Use the same photo in both slots.

  2. 02

Pick the model, length and resolution

15 seconds is the whole clip on every model. Seedance 2.5 is the default; Seedance 2.0 Mini is the cheapest. The price on the button changes as you choose.

  3. 03

    Generate

The photos replace the two dancers for the whole clip and the sound goes back on. It usually takes a few minutes, and you can close the page.

  4. 04

    Download and post

Download the 9:16 MP4 and post it to TikTok, Reels or Shorts with the platform's AI label switched on.

Which photos work best

The photos decide whether the faces are yours and whether the outfits read well in a dark kitchen. A minute spent choosing them saves a second generation.

Use

  • One adult alone in each photo.
  • A sharp face looking roughly at the camera, in daylight or a bright room.
  • Waist-up or full length, so the outfit is in frame and the low crouch has legs to work with.
  • Two different outfits for two people, so it is easy to see who is dancing.

Avoid

  • Sunglasses, masks, caps over the eyes, heavy beauty filters.
  • Group photos, sitting poses or a tiny face far from the camera.
  • A black shirt with black trousers, or a grey hoodie with red trousers: those are the original dancers' outfits, and the model may keep them.
  • Children, celebrities, and anyone who hasn't agreed.

Fix a bad Wipe Me Down AI result

These are the problems people ask about most. Each regeneration is charged again, so change one thing at a time.

ProblemLikely causeWhat to try
The face is distorted or doesn't look like meA small, blurred or side-on face; 480p leaves few pixels for it, and the first dancer's lean is very close to the lensUse a sharper, front-facing photo, waist-up rather than far away, and try 720p on Seedance 2.0 Pro or 2.5
Weird hands or broken legs in the low crouchFast hand flicks and bent knees are the hardest part for any video modelGenerate again, or move up to Seedance 2.0 Pro or 2.5 at 720p
One of the original dancers' faces or outfits shows upA photo where the face is hard to read, or clothes that match the originalsUse clear photos in different clothes; on Seedance 2.0 models try Seedance 2.5
The wrong person dances firstThe photos are in the wrong slotsPhoto 1 is the first dancer, Photo 2 the one who takes over; swap them and generate again
It looks blurry or like a slideshow on TikTokA 480p file, a screen recording compressed twice, or the motion blur that is already in the handheld originalMake it at 720p or 1080p and upload the downloaded MP4 itself, with the app's HD upload switched on

The song, friends' photos and posting rules

This is general guidance, not legal advice. The short version: use real people only with their say-so, label it as AI, and keep it personal.

  • The song isn't yours to license. Your video carries the clip's Wipe Me Down sound so it plays right away. For TikTok or Reels you can also mute it and pick the song from the app's library, which is licensed there. Don't use it in ads or paid brand content without a music licence.
  • Ask first. Upload yourself, or adults who agreed, and show them the video before you post. Never upload children.
  • It is a deepfake in the plain sense. Real faces in a clip they were never in count as synthetic media, so switch on the AI-generated label on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube and don't present it as real.
  • The original dancers are replaced, not used. Both people in the kitchen clip become the people in your photos; upload no celebrities or public figures in their place.

TryH3's Wipe Me Down dance AI generator is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Foxx, Boosie Badazz, Webbie, Trill Entertainment, Carnell Nichols Jr., @dadxander, @louisiana_micheal_myers1, CapCut or Kavel. Their names are used only to describe the song and the trend.

Wipe Me Down dance: questions

Who started the Wipe Me Down dance?

The song is Foxx's 2007 "Wipe Me Down" with Lil Boosie and Webbie. The dance challenge is credited to Carnell Nichols Jr., who posted it with Team Carnell (@trendsetterrrrrrr) on TikTok in 2020 and calls himself its original creator. The 2026 revival and the AI trend copy a later 15-second kitchen clip by @dadxander.

Is the Wipe Me Down dance the same as the Wipe It Down challenge?

No. Wipe It Down is a 2020 challenge to BMW Kenny's song "Wipe It Down", where you wipe a mirror and cut to a new outfit. The Wipe Me Down dance is the low crouch with hands brushing at the floor, to the 2007 Foxx, Boosie and Webbie song. Captions and some CapCut template names mix the two up.

How do I make a Wipe Me Down AI video from an iPhone or Android photo?

Open this page in your phone's browser, upload a clear photo of yourself in both slots (or yourself and a friend), pick a length and press Generate. No app, CapCut template or prompt is needed. The MP4 is vertical and ready to post.

Can my girlfriend, boyfriend or best friend and I be in it together?

Yes, that is what the two slots are for. The kitchen clip has two dancers: Photo 1 does the first part and Photo 2 jumps in at 9 seconds and finishes it. Use one photo of each of you, each person alone in their photo; a single couple photo won't work.

Is it free, and is there a watermark?

Not entirely free. Sign-up credits don't cover a video; the cheapest costs 6 credits and the $5 Trial pack (24 credits) covers the whole 15-second clip on Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p. Videos made before your first purchase carry a moving tryh3.com mark, and any purchase removes it, including from videos you already made.

Why not just use the CapCut Wipe Me Down template?

You can, and it is free in the app. A template does one person in whatever clip its creator built in, and templates come and go. This page puts two people (or you twice) into the kitchen clip itself, keeps its sound, and lets you pick the length, resolution and model.

My AI Wipe Me Down video has a distorted face or weird hands. How do I fix it?

Use a sharper, front-facing photo with the face large in frame, avoid sunglasses and filters, and try 720p on Seedance 2.0 Pro or 2.5. The hand flicks and the deep crouch are the hardest parts for any model, so a second try often fixes them.

Can I use the Wipe Me Down song on TikTok and Instagram?

Posting a personal video with the song from TikTok's or Instagram's own music library is normal use there. Using the song in an ad, a brand account's paid content or outside those apps needs a licence from the rights holders. If a post gets muted, swap in the song from the app's library.
